W elcome to the I. S. A. Martial Arts Sungja-Hapki page! It is our goal to provide an additional program to not only supplement our traditional HAPKIDO training, but to provide more realistic training in street self-defense.This program is designed to cover two popular areas: VITAL PRESSURE POINT STRIKING and HAPKI reality-based combative movements. This program is a HYPER INTENSIVE style course, where classes are held on a PRIVATE and SEMINAR basis. Each section will be worked independently. The first part of the training will focus on HAPKI (joint locking) and after a short break we will work VITAL PRESSURE POINT STRIKING. Below you will see a detailed explanation of each specific section. We encourage you to join us for a fantastic training opportunity! Feel free to contact us at any time for more information!

SUNGJADO can be described as the way of striking the vital points of the human body for the purpose of neutralizing an attacker (regardless of size or strength), with effects ranging from pain or unconsciousness to death - the level of severity obviously depends on the seriousness of the situation.
SUNGJA is also described as the way of pressure point fighting. Within the first ten seconds of a physical conflict the fight should be won or lost. SUNGJA is the understanding of weaker structures of the human body and how to access them to your advantage for physical confrontation or healing relief from common ailments.
Regardless of official definition, SUNGJA-DO is an effective series and methodologies of using pressure points as tools of defense. It is not based on enormous strength or speed, but rather a knowledge of the points and where they are as well as how to use them.

We are privileged to be associated with International Sungjado Association. Through their blessing, we have established this SUNGJA study group. The I. S. A. MARTIAL ARTS,TM was formed by Dr. George Petrotta, to spread the use of pressure points for martial and healing applications. The curriculum is based on proper use of points regardless of Martial Arts style. Even those without a Martial Arts background can learn through the curriculum. The curriculum places a high value for the safety of the practitioners. To honor our commitment to the I. S. A. and their commitment to us, we require all participants in this program to be members of the I.S.A. A membership link is provided HERE!

Aiki Combatives

HAPKI reality-based combat is a program designed by Dr. Petrotta to teach students the fundamentals of combat. This program is based very heavily on Dr. Petrotta's 54+ years in martial arts training programs. This is a non-traditional HAPKIDO art as taught by the Founder of HAPKIDO, Choi, Yong Sul. The core principle of this course is Close Quarters REALITY COMBAT. We do not teach point sparring or any other sports applications. We simply teach immediate threat control. This is a HIGHLY INTENSIVE course and as with the SUNGJA, will only be taught in a PRIVATE or SEMINAR format.
The program is perfect for the person who wishes to supplement their martial arts training or any person who wishes to develop exceptional personal protection skills. We have provided a sample of the curriculum that we will be following. Contact the I. S. A. MARTIAL ARTS for a specific schedule of what will be taught and when.

** Close Quarter Combat
** Advanced non-traditional striking techniques
Plus much more!

Classes will be provided in a "PRIVATE or SEMINAR" format. All classes will be held at the venue appointed by Dr. Petrotta.

A uniform is not required for these classes.

For a "CORPORATE CLINIC," Simply wear clothes appropriate to a normal work day.
